BFF’s Bachelorette Weekend in Scottsdale, AZ

COURTNEY’S #SCOTTSDALEBEFORETHEVEIL

I’ve never been to Arizona, so celebrating my best friend Courtney’s bachelorette in Scottsdale was probably one of my favorite trips. Courtney’s MOH’s, Kelsey and Maggie, did an AMAZING job planning everything. Our Airbnb was about 10 minutes (or less) from the strip of bars and shops! We stayed on Labor Day Weekend to fully experience the trip. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention our house had a pool—in the September desert heat, this was a game changer. Definitely recommend!

I flew out with my best friend Carley which made the trip there so much more enjoyable! When we finally arrived around 9pm Thursday night, we all played a card game that was perfect for the bachelorette, called For The Girls — that included games like Never Have I Ever and Truth or Dare. We had an early day of hiking the next morning, so we planned to stay in. We also bought all of our groceries off the Favor app and split the costs at the end, making it easier with transportation!

Around 7:30 am Friday morning, we headed to a small trail. I had many friends & my family who have visited/lived in the area share this tip with us: Unless you’re packing up your full hiking gear (shoes & all) and are prepared to stay hydrated all day, they don’t recommend planning a full hiking experience on a bachelorette trip! Of course, it all depends on your goals for the trip! If you’re ready to get your sweat on to see all the beautiful views AZ has to offer, by all means DO IT! But if you just want to get a quick experience in with your girls and take some pictures, I’d recommend a short trail! Our trail was only 30 minutes ( I believe it was called Papago Park) and the weather was perfect for the time we went. It was a cute little scenic route! (In our Bach gifts, Courtney also gave us each a monogrammed canteen that was perfect for the small hike!)

After the hike, we went home to freshen up, snacked, and headed out to brunch at Farm & Craft, which was DELICIOUS—and they serve healthy & sustainable food (hence the name). Not to mention, their drinks were great for the occasion.

After brunch, we stopped in a local winery near Scottsdale Rd., and headed to The Montauk afterwards…which was perfect for day drinking and filled with locals in their 20’s and 30’s. It was probably my favorite stop! We all wore black tops with shorts, keeping it casual.

That night, we went out in matching tees and went out for a Mexican food dinner.

The next morning we made our way to breakfast around noon at Schmooze. This place had THE best customer service, hands down. Right after breakfast, we had our petal party! We pre-purchased 6 packs of White Claws (we probably could’ve used 3-4) for the bike ride—I recommend doing that beforehand!

..I must say, everyone in Scottsdale is SO FRIENDLY. Everyone was so excited the whole time we were on the petal bike and it pumped us UP!

That night we ate Mexican again, then went out to EVO, a local bar with a darker, more chill/relaxed ambiance. Then we spontaneously stopped by the Casino afterwards. Only stayed for about an hour, then headed back to our place.

(The rest of the party left because it was getting late, and well..it was a long day).

Finally, our last full day in Scottsdale was mostly spent at the Airbnb. We swam in the pool and lounged all day, it was much needed.

After lounging all day, we went out to dinner at HULA’s Modern Tiki restaurant with a fun tropical feel, good food and fruity/coconut drinks. For this we all wore hot pink! A couple of us ended up at EVO for another hour or two, then called it an early night to get some rest for our flights in the AM.

This was absolutely one one of the best trips I’ve ever been on, and just an added bonus that it was centered around celebrating one of my very best friends from college! I highly recommend Scottsdale, Arizona for a bachelorette!
